Adding a Cable: User Manual

Tip: To create a cable, you need to add 2 points first. One will be the start, and the other will be the end.

Cable View

  1. Add Cable in the Top-Right View:
    Click "Add Cable."
  2. Step 1:
In the "Add Cable" view, on the left column:
    • Enter the cable name.
    • In the "A-end of the cable" field, start typing the name of the starting point. Select from the list that appears. This sets the starting and ending points for the cable.
    • In the "B-end of the cable" field, start typing the name of the ending point. Select from the list to set the starting and ending points.
    • Tubes: Choose the number of tubes in the fiber optic cable from the dropdown list.
    • Fibers: Choose the total number of fibers in the fiber optic cable from the dropdown list.
    • Fiber Color Code: Choose the fiber color code standard from the dropdown list.
    • Status: Choose the cable status from the dropdown list (planned, in progress, completed).
    • Save.
    • We recommend filling in the remaining information.
  3. Step 2:
In the "Add Cable" view, Map.
    • A straight line connecting the points from the first step appears on the map.
    • Zoom in or out of the map if needed to see the cable line clearly.
    • In the middle of the line, a square appears for dragging the line on the map. Drag the square to adjust the line as needed.
    • If you want to delete a bend in the line, click on the square to remove it.
    • Arrange the line on the map to match the actual route of the fiber optic cable in the field.
    • Done.
    • Click "Map" to preview the cable view on the map or click "Cables" to add another cable.
