Making Fiber Connections: User Manual


Tip: In a closure, there must be at least 2 cables to make a connection.

  1. Closure View:
    • Displayed cable with all visible fibers.
    • Choose the fiber number you want to connect.
      • Example: t1 f(3)3 • - on the right is a field to enter the fiber number for the connection.
      • Click the "i" link to view a new page with information about available free and occupied fibers in the closure. Green signifies available fibers, and red indicates occupied fibers.
    • Select cable for splicing from the list.
    • Settings - Handy navigation with functions for fiber connections.
  2. Creating Fiber Connection:
    • "Cable side A" 24f - t1 f(3)3 • [text input] – [select cable from the list] → Navigation: Add splice.
    • Fill in "3" in the input and select a cable. Add splice from navigation on the right.
    • You have created a fiber connection.

Tip: If a red border appears around the text input, it means the fiber is already occupied and connected to another.
